My MX5 has adjustable Anti roll bars. Which I have just adjusted...But i've got a couple of questions.

1. After playing I was wondering why one side of the rear bar was easier to adjust than the other. Then I realised that the bar is not fitted perfectly centrally on the car. Is this a very bad thing...or will it make no difference?

2. The adjustment is done by choosing one of three holes at each end of the bar. I'm educatedly guessing that the hole nearest the end of the bar is the softest setting....Am I right?

If i never post again the test drive did not go well....'gulp'

If it is designed to be fitted at an angle the all is probably ok. It could work this way as all it is doing is providing resitance to the car rolling and providing it is under tension it does not have to be straight (pics of 70's F1 cars often show the arb's mounted above the rear suspension and often at strange angles). You are correct with your assumption, furthest hole from the mounting would be the softest setting.

Thx! I thought id got the adjustment right as it's a lot more stable at speed now than it was.

Is this a whiteline ARB?

I have a whiteline ARB and it's virtually eliminated any understeer in the tight corners. Most impressed.
