Grease for Suspension - I have searched, please just confirm
Discussion
I am planning in removing, cleaning, POR15 ing and then refitting the suspension front and back on a 1997 BMW Z3. I will replace the (knackered) bushes at the same time. Something useful to do over Christmas I reckon.
Poly bushes - Vasaline
Suspension bolts - Lithium Grease
a) Correct?
b) Any other advice please

I tend to use copper-slip on my suspension bolts, but some may disagree. Poly bushes - Vasaline

Also don't forget to grease your brake disks, you don't want them rusting.

A purist will probably say not to grease a bolt unless it's specified, as it will affect the torque setting. Personally I doubt it matters for something as rough as suspension bolts, so I agree, copper grease to stop the nut & bolt rusting together.Gassing Station | Suspension, Brakes & Tyres | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
