Not making excuses for them (exactly the opposite in fact) but Blackcircles' business model has changed entirely since they were taken over.

Their main interest is leasing tyre-fitting equipment to their list of approved fitters. The supply of the tyre is secondary business and relies on a load of intermediaries who will priorities other customers over them if there is a stock shortage or other supply difficulties as often they are in direct competition with Blackcircles' owner.

Chargeback on your credit card and shop elsewhere.

I haven't used them in yonks. You're near Guildford? I go straight to a mobile tyre fitter nowadays ('Abba' - related name, if you wanted a clue) - good prices and they have been very reliable with dates.

I had awful trouble with them in January, they even delivered 8 tyres instead of 4. They blamed the snow but turns out they had no stock after i called for the 5th time

Same trouble for me today. Ordered a replacement tyre earlier in the week for fitment tomorrow at 9am. Call from BC just after 4pm today to advise that this cannot now be done until Tuesday... I'm grateful first the comms but not so happy about the extended delay.

Bought 8 tyres since Xmas and never found Black Circles to be anywhere near competitive on prices or delivery times

Found National Tyres, via cashback sites and Groupon and voucher codes and its sister Tyre Shopper website, to be the cheapest and fastest.

Put off them by the fitters arrangement. We recently ordered four tyres from Camskill who were superb. Great comms and delivered exactly when they said they would.

I thought this was going to be about the effects of too many late nights, having too much fun and not enough sleep can cause black circles!

I haven’t used Blackcircles for years but a £40 off code for four Michelin PS4 made their price very competitive. I ordered after 4pm on Wednesday of this week and they arrived on Friday by 11am.

Well, I have had the misfortune of experiencing the new Blackcircles business model today and its safe to say I will never be using them again. At least make the excuses believable.

Shame as used to be good.

Last year I searched on their website. My size and brand were shown. I called to verify, and they were in stock. I ordered specifying a local fitter. Fitter declined, even though they were advertised as fitter on BC website. Second fitter specified. Confirmed twice by BC as a fitting in two days. Then BC emails to say the tyres I originally ordered some 4 days previous were not actually in the country, and would take up to 10 days to arrive.

Complete shambles of a company.

Shambles is the right word for them.
First time I've tried them and was very disappointed. All was good with the website and ordering process. I ordered 4 Michelin Pilot Sport 4's to be fitted locally to me on Saturday. Chose a convenient time and paid for them in full.
I then received an email saying the fitting center was fully booked and cannot do them till next week even though slots were still showing as available. I need them on Saturday so asked for an alternative local fitter to do the job but was told that nothing was available till at least Tuesday. Can only assume the tyres were not in stock so they use this tactic to buy some more time. In the meantime I tried to ring customer services but gave up after 40mins on hold.
Got through a few hours later and cancelled. To be fair, the call handler didn't try to talk me out of it and refunded me straight away.
Not a particularly positive experience and doubt if I will trouble them again.

Used them several times, always without problem to be fair. Two were in the last few months as well.

True, I bought twice from Mytyres and they were delivered very quickly and at a good price. Fitting is the issue , in that a lot of local tyre shops will charge extra for tyres not bought though them. Typically around £15 a tyre for fitting , valve and balance. I wanted an all in price and appointment that suited me on a Saturday. Learnt my lesson now .

Oponeo were competitive for SP winter sports for my A6. Unless you are after a specific tyre some of the smaller operations offer good deals.

We ordered tyres to a local fitter, then needed to try and change the details of the location. Couldn't get hold of them.

If it's clear cut and you just need tyres sent somewhere they're fine. Any kind of contact with customer service of any kind seems really rubbish.

Used a mobile fitter last time up here in the NE , cracking service and well priced

Black Circles demands quite a sum paid monthly to be at the top of their local fitting list he was telling me , so he’s sacked them off.

Black Circle have been taken over by Michelin tyres iirc.
