Cant get to the bottom of a problem with one of my cars, had all the brakes inspected a few times by garages, had the slider pins regreased, and one mechanic said the disks are warped, however the noise sounds like its from the front wheels and apparently the discs are warped at the back.

Basically once the brakes have been used a few times, quite often when braking from say 60 mph, with every wheel rotation it feels like at a certain point it brakes stronger than the rest of the rotation, and once it gets to about 40mph and less theres a click noise every wheel rotation, and as it gets down to about 20mph the noise becomes a click and a groaning noise with every rotation.

Its almost like at a certain point in the wheel rotation something is too big/tight.

Please help

Any more information or reason why? Bit vague to just say that really.

Apparently the back ones are warped but the noise seems to be 99% from the front.

Disc thickness variation caused by dragging brake

The click will be the unloaded pad getting picked up and either tapping the trailing abutment or getting dropped against the leading abutment

Ive googled dragging brake and it says after releasing brakes, the noise is only when the brake pedal is depressed.

The clicking and moaning once per rev? If it’s with a very light brake it could still be DTV from a dragging brake, if it’s with a reasonable amount of braking then that would be odd, could be sliders or piston sticking and not applying a pad

What is vague about it ? It's a very specific unambiguous instruction to fix your problem.

Just because you think the noise is coming from the front it's not necessarily so.
