Intermittent problem (the worst kind). When driving the EPS/ABS warning lights sometimes come on together, stay on for some seconds then go out again. I have checked the fluid level but this is fine. Any ideas? Then car is a 2000 A6 V6 Tdi Avant quattro.

Many thanks in advance!

you need to have the ABS/EPS fault codes checked, when ever the warning light comes on it logs a fault code in the ECU memory, only way is get them read and change the faulty sensor

Thanks, it totally broke down two weeks ago, still being worked on, the ABS EPS problem will be sorted.

Kevin - what was the fault - I have a similar problem with my A6 4.2 Sport Quattro - ABS and traction control lights come on and stay on, but also the car suffers hesitation when accelerating. It was suggested tht thew air flow meter was faulty, but this was replaced and I am still having the same problem.

Thanks, Gary

I had a similar problem with my A6 4.2 and it turned out to be a faulty brake light switch. Audi had one for $50 and it was an easy fix as switch is located behind brake pedal. Lights went out and no more hesitation.
