Adjustable anti-roll bar drop links - help
Discussion
Hi all,
When a vehicle has been fitted with lifted suspension for higher ground clearance, it appears the drop links cannot be reconnected as they won’t reach the anti roll bar.
I understand the solution to this is to fit adjustable drop links of extended length.
But my question is, how are these to be adjusted.
As long as both side drop links are attached and of equal length is that it? Or does the length of the drop link have to be adjusted so that the ARB is under some tension upwards or downwards?
I’ve watched a few videos where they explain that with the car on the ground and not jacked up, the drop links shouldn’t be under any tension, or there shouldn’t be any ‘preload’. Is this correct?
If you see what I mean...
Thanks

If the car were a track only car & were going on an oval circuit you might want to load the bar in a certain direction but I am guessing that isn't the case.
Ideally with the original set up you might have seen the angle of the anti-roll bar to see that it cleared everything & could then simply orientate the bar the same & measure the length you want to replicate the original set up.
