It seems I am looking for the opposite of most R32 owners. I live where there are lots of car park entry ramps with metal gate stoppers in the middle which catch the under engine protection or the exhaust silencer box. I bought a 2008 R32 with lowered suspension, bought the most 'normal' suspension I could to raise it a bit which is still 2cm or so too low; JOM 741053.

Does anyone know which suspension kit I need to make it standard height please? I believe I need 4 motion specific so even 2.0 tdi sus will work and raise it.

Let me get this right, you have bought the cheapest set of coilovers you can find in order to raise the car to standard height?

Why not just buy standard suspension?

Buy some decent adjustable coil overs and set them to your preferred height.

Don’t buy cheap st.

The problem is, I can't find the standard suspension. I thought buying adjustable suspension would work but even at their highest, they are still 20 and 30mm lower than standard. I can't even fit my hand between the tyre and wheel arch.

Springs are typically a lot cheaper than dampers. If your dampers have enough travel, you could raise the car by fitting longer springs, or adding tender springs.

So you want standard suspension.....so buy something totally different ?

And you can't find standard suspension....on a car there must be thousands of ? You're saying Volkswagen do not sell parts for this car ?

Or any myriad of breakers that might have one ? Or any motor factors that sell replacement parts ?

Stop making things difficult for yourself.

It took me all of 30s to find standard parts on Euro's site.

Well, this has been quite unconstructive.

I’ve confirmed what I bought before was wrong and no further in finding what I need.

Thanks PHs

Yes you are, you just aren't listening.

There are 3 answers above telling you to go standard or how/where to find it, and even the price.

This place really is getting full of helpful bar-stewards isn't it...

Some of them even think it is clever to drag politics in too rolleyes

Why would anyone who doesn't already know the answer to their question want to come here for help, with the responses here?

I know that most of the posters in this thread know their stuff, I just don't get why they have to jump on someone who asks what the experts think is a stupid question...

So the OP was told EXACTLY how to resolve his problem, and even how and where to get those parts.

Yet throws a strop somehow...and you come to blame the people telling him how to resolve his problem....that he deliberately chooses to ignore ?

Where was the help missing ?

Choosing to be offended when you get help, and others getting offended thereafter, really is bizarre. Such a sad reflection on what society has become, where they get offended from people helping them !

This is what you said to the OP - before his comment that you quoted to me...

That looks -less- helpful than the standard internet JFGI response.

Oh well, if you want to come across as smug and annoying, that isn't my problem, is it?

So I take it you aren't buying the standard suspension that is readily available then?

So would you like someone to buy it for him and then fit it ? How helpful does one need to be ?

There really are far too many busting to be offended snowflakes everywhere, and it's sad they've infiltrated forums like these too.

Looks like you're making it your problem....

What advice have you offered the OP, other than a blanket for his feelings?
