Squeaky Rear Suspension

Hi

I have a 12 year old Land Rover Freelander 2 SE, and the rear suspension has started an annoying squeak when going over bad roads and speed bumps.

What I have done is to spray the bushes with silicone spray, but this has had little effect. Bouncing back of car, I believe it is the left hand side and the squeak doesn't happen if the handbrake is fully applied.

Does anybody have a lubricant that I could use?

I'd eliminate everything else before you tear into the suspension. Start with the handbrake cable.

I've had some suspension squeaks, one turned out to be a bonnet catch, another was the radio moving in it's housing.
