Polo Disc Ridges

I’ve been to view a 2019 polo with 9000 miles on the clock, the car is mint condition but I’ve noticed that all 4 discs have ridges, is this normal for a car of this age and mileage?

Yes it's normal as they wear, depends how worn they are.

Not unusual, and these are service items so worst case scenario is you replace discs and pads.

Grooves in the discs

I’ve not got the car yet, I was concerned that the discs have all got ridges or grooves however you describe them, should they all be smooth for a car less than yrs old and only 9k?

Too many variables for anyone to say for sure. Type and length of journeys, garaged or not, load, all sorts. I wouldn’t let it put me off buying the car. You can probably replace all discs, pads and sensors for under £200 if you do it all yourself or with a mate.
