Sorting out winter tyres. Currently have 95V all round, but looking at replacing 1 (slow puncture) with 95H rated tyre.

Otherwise, everything else the same, make, tread, size etc. 95H is manufacturers recommended minimum for winter tyres in that size (225/45/18).

Thoughts welcomed.

H rated to 130mph.
V rated to 149mph.

I’d say you’ll be pretty safe making that change unless you’re planning some wintry top speed runs for some reason.

What’s the condition of the other tyre on the same axle? May be wise to replace both condition dependant but for normal road use can’t see it giving you any notable bother.
