Steering vibration came back

Had a vibration through the steering wheel, more pronounced at higher speeds. Had a new set of front tyres fitted which were balanced and this stopped the vibration which was great.

Went on a couple hundred mile trip, and on the way back started to feel the vibration through the steering wheel again. Is it possible that the balancing weights have moved or fallen off while driving? And is it worth getting the balancing redone to see if it fixes it again or should it be investigated further?

Also check that they torqued the wheels up correctly.

I have had both front wheels off since, always hand threaded and then torqued to spec
