What do people pay for tyre fitting nowadays?
Discussion
I've had a couple of sets done. Dodgy as hell backstreet place was £20 (cash) per wheel. Fully liveried independent mobile fitter also £20 per wheel, including VAT. I'm in Cambridge and most things are expensive. Just ring round and see if anyone will do it as most places aren't keen on fitting stuff they haven't supplied.
No way would it be £20 at a 'dodgy' place, surely? I pay about £10 - £15 at a small place on a main urban road, not even a 'backstreet.' They even popped the bead and replaced perished valve stems (MoT advisory) on two wheels for me in 2021 for £5 each.
Fitting and balancing a motorcycle tyre cost me £20 this week though.
Not sure I saved much buying the tyre first.

£20. Not sure i should name them, but they're in shelford, near Cambridge. I needed it done in a hurry before a long trip and won't be going back...

I'm £20 a tyre at my local backstreet place. It's usually cheaper now to buy tyres and fitting together.
Actually I've just ordered two tyres from Costco and they charge £8 per tyre to fit. They were also around£40 cheaper per tyre than anything else I could find. Only ball ache is I'll need to take the wheels off the car and to them ..they won't fit mismatched tyres to my x-drive car
