Set of four tyres and wheels supplied, need fitting, valves and balancing.

What’s an average price per wheel to do this these days?

£10- £15 at a backstreet place, same price as a puncture repair. Do a good job.

Price is based on. Size and profile, tricky ones £15.

I've had a couple of sets done. Dodgy as hell backstreet place was £20 (cash) per wheel. Fully liveried independent mobile fitter also £20 per wheel, including VAT. I'm in Cambridge and most things are expensive. Just ring round and see if anyone will do it as most places aren't keen on fitting stuff they haven't supplied.

No way would it be £20 at a 'dodgy' place, surely? I pay about £10 - £15 at a small place on a main urban road, not even a 'backstreet.' They even popped the bead and replaced perished valve stems (MoT advisory) on two wheels for me in 2021 for £5 each. smile

Fitting and balancing a motorcycle tyre cost me £20 this week though. rolleyes Not sure I saved much buying the tyre first. scratchchin

That's the challenge. Lots of places won't want the hassle if they're not getting the whole job.

£20. Not sure i should name them, but they're in shelford, near Cambridge. I needed it done in a hurry before a long trip and won't be going back...

Motorcycle wheel removal / installation slightly trickier than spinning off car wheel nuts / bolts?

I had to take the motorcycle wheel off myself and take it loose. It was because they had not supplied the tyre, a liability issue apparently. If I had bought the tyre from them, I could have just taken the bike in but I had bought it previously.

A tenner a corner at my local, well respected tyre place, I buy my own tyres and they fit them.

I'm £20 a tyre at my local backstreet place. It's usually cheaper now to buy tyres and fitting together.

Actually I've just ordered two tyres from Costco and they charge £8 per tyre to fit. They were also around£40 cheaper per tyre than anything else I could find. Only ball ache is I'll need to take the wheels off the car and to them ..they won't fit mismatched tyres to my x-drive car

I pay £10 at my Romanian mechanic who uses brand new fitting and balancing machines. My local independent tyre place charges the same, but £15 on a busy weekend. I think last time I had a puncture repair at a Formula 1 it was c£23.

I paid 65 for four fitted and balanced with new valves. Sounds about mid range going on these responses.

I don't bother these days as it is cheaper and easier to just buy from my local National Tyres and leave it to them
