I have snapped a coil spring and it's taken out a bracket that holds another suspension part to the shock... What's the other part?



The bracket not broken on the other side...

You mean the anti roll bar link mount?

Well I'm asking you. Haha. So that's the bit that's not attached in the first photo, but attached in the second?

Hopefully no other damage further down

That's the top of the drop link by the look of it. The other end of the short rod will be bolted to the anti roll bar, as mentioned. Bracket is part of the damper body I expect, which means changing both. rolleyes

But it looks like it's part of the shock, so I don't think you'll be buying a new one separately.

Yeah I've anticipated new springs and shocks both sides. Have tossed up going aftermarket, doing all four corners and dropping it 10mm but don't think I will in the end.

If you do, factor in the cost of suspension alignment and castor alterations.

Yeah tbh I'll probably do that whatever after having the suspension messed around with so much even if OEM goes back on
