Does this tyre need replacing?

Legal tread has to be across the central 3/4 of the tyre, so worn edges are not an issue. What IS though, is that it means the tracking is probably out, and on the edges, you can quickly wear through to the carcass if all the tread has gone.
Inside edge looks very similar, could just be slightly under-inflated? Tbh at the end of life if there's a bit of irregular wear I'd say the tracking is close enough not to panic.
Decided to buy a digital tyre tread gauge and just measured it. The lowest depth is 3.2mm so seems I'm fine from a legal perspective. Tried the 20p test the other day though and I could see a little bit of the edge of the coin which implied it is under 2mm. Bit odd but I imagine the gauge is accurate
Thanks everyone I will look to change the tyre shortly. There is a tyre centre opposite where I live who replaced a tyre for me a while back and gave me a davanti tyre for £60. They said its a decent tyre. I know you can spend significantly more than that. Is it worth it? I drive for work maybe 50-60 miles a day for work

Match it across the axle. What’s on the other side and how worn is it? Also whats on the back and how worn are they? Got to consider tyres as a set.Edited by wyson on Thursday 5th October 18:21
I wouldn't just replace a solo tyre unless you've already put a new one on the opposite side. You don't need to spend silly money on tyres, a pair of Avon ZV7 or Yokohama Blue Earth aren't expensive but are perfectly good if you've got an average family 1.8 petrol hatchback. Never heard of the make you mentioned so can't say if they're any good or just what the tyre shop is being incentivised to sell.
