Have I just been unlucky/ are they all this rubbish?
Need a set of winter tyres. Due to some corrosion issues with the wheels on my car the dealer has sorted replacing them under warranty and has kindly agreed to fit a set of winters if I source them. Ordered a set from My Tyres, says in the small print they are in Germany but with delivery in 7 days that shouldn’t be an issue. Well it was an issue because 7 days came and went without the tracking updating. Customer service seems to only reply to one email every 24 hours and doesn’t really provide more info except to accidentally cancel the order but they don’t seem to be able to actually stop it being delivered eventually so I have to be in to refuse it…
In the meantime I go to Blackcircles. Used them a few years ago and a more local company but more expensive. Winters ordered today for delivery tomorrow. All good except now DPD send a message, the My Tyres order is now also coming tomorrow.
Get a puncture on the way home. On my mobile at the side of the road try Kwik-Fit as they are closest to home (tyre is going down). On my mobile they don’t offer the tyre I need. Get home and back to Blackcircles, get one ordered to another reasonably local garage for Friday. Not great but I can stay home tomorrow and keep running out with the inflator to save it going totally flat. Tonight Blackcircles say the garage now can’t do Friday, automated system will only let me rebook for a day next week
Can’t speak to a human now, chat bot offers no solution except to take a message. I need a tyre this week so check Kwik-Fits website to check the local branch opening so I can perhaps sort something in person faster, oh and on the laptop it does list the tyre I need.
So now I have 8 tyres arriving tomorrow, 4 of which should have arrived last week and have been cancelled and I can’t get 1 tyre I urgently need fitted

After repeated bother with our usual mobile tyre suppliers / fitters I bought some tyres from Asda online a couple of weeks ago and selected the "fit them at my home" option.Need a set of winter tyres. The price was way lower than anyone else, so I was half expecting Sharon from the fish counter to arrive to fit them.
But no, Asda organised a proper mobile outfit to come to my house. Two tyres of the correct size and brand fitted, in a short timeframe, with no aggro, for £60 less than anyone else.
I will use them again, when we next need some.
I think you've probably been unlucky, but I've never bought tyres that I needed to use from an online supplier. I normally get them from a local firm that have always been very competitive on pricing.
One of my cars came on non-standard wheels and I found a set of OE ones that needed a refurb. The tyres weren't worth re-fitting so I bought a new set from Black Circles. They could have delivered to the refurb company but they said they wouldn't necessarily know what wheels to put them on so I got them delivered to home and they arrived in 2 days.
Got a call to say my wheels had been done so I took the tyres to the refurb company and they fitted them and I brought the wheels home.
I like the sound of that Asda deal though!

You made the mistake of ordering from mytyres who are part of delticom group, along with a myriad of brands.
I buy a load of tyres for our family cars and Oponeo/Camskill are the best. I've never had a delti order arrive on time. 14 days is the minimum with them, that is if they don't cancel the order.
I think that delti/mytyres do recognise the right to return from what I remember on their website.

My method:
get prices online, call a local mobile fitter and as him how much he can do the job for supply and fit on my drive. Not once has this been more than a tenner above the cheapest online option for the same tyres and i don't have to prepay. Added bonus its money to a small local business not some huge multinational.

I've used Asda Tyres with good success, and that was for an R8! Only downside was the garage that fitted them messed up the balancing so they had to go back and get redone. But that's not unusual.
Had 4 new "asda" tyres put on the Yeti and they f
ked up the balancing so bad it had to go back 2 times, each time them swearing it wasn't a balancing issue. A test drive put an end to that argument. (they only rebalanced the fronts 1st time, despite me telling them it was most likely a rear). They did mutter/moan something along the lines of "if you'd bought them direct from us..." to shich I replied, I would have if their list prices were not so mental.

Used a variety of online, fit at your house suppliers, TyreOnThe Drive, ETyres, Kwik Fit and most recently National Tyres (part of Halfords now). But not the 'we supply the tyres and then someone else fits them' type supplier.
All were good really, I think you generally get a quality fitting as they have to employ someone who can drive a van, use SatNav to find a house, use the mobile fitting hardware and a while ago, use a card machine and often have a decent chat about cars. All of which means your local tyre centre 17 year old yobbo doesn't qualify.
Slightly miffed with National Tyres as they declined TopCashback on £500 worth of tyres for my MG as I'd used a 'unauthorised code', whereas I'd actually used a 15% off code from their website and there was probably no profit left in it for them.

I think I've used BlackCircles four times, and three times I've had some sort of issue. Once the tyre became out of stock, and two other occasions they had to move an appointment (and rather than asking when I'd like to change it to just rebooked me into a random inconvenient slot), I think for tyre supply issues again. I did use the same local garage to fit so perhaps they could have been at fault too.
Last time I used ASDA, with no issues and at a different tyre place for fitting.

Seems I’ve been unlucky but not alone!
Well Blackcircles to their credit did call me this morning. Now booked in at another garage so hopefully that goes ok. DHL then arrived with the winter set from Blackcircles about 3 hours before the time slot they emailed. Lastly the My Tyres order arrived which rather ruined the DPD guys day as now he has to go back to the depot with them rather that shooting straight home. Apparently he had the exact same thing with someone else last week.
