Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2
Discussion
Just ordered 4 (235/40/18) of these from Costco for £320. They're listed at £100 each with £80 off if you buy 4.
At the time of ordering the Asy 6 was £130 a tyre.
I know they're an old design but does anyone know when the last manufacturing date was?
Are these a good buy for the price?

It will vary depending on the size with the smaller sizes being made for a longer period. They shouldnt be more than 5 years old for retail sale as new although Costco type outlets may sell tyres up to about 7 years at reduced cost. If youre worried about age then pitch up the extra £200 and buy the much later and much better tyres

It's a Megane R26, has Michelin PS2s, 235/40/18.
Trying not to spend too much and although an old design, I thought the GY F1 Asy 2 was a good buy for £80/corner. Lots of places still selling them.
Well they are certainly a more modern tyre than a PS2 by about 5 years. I guess £80 a corner puts them at the budget edge price wise with Triangle etc so if youre not wanting to spend much I wouldnt be worried about the age. They will be 2020 or newer. Although the 6's are only £135 each at tyres on the drive or kwik fit so youre not saving much using Costco if you want the more up to date tyresTrying not to spend too much and although an old design, I thought the GY F1 Asy 2 was a good buy for £80/corner.
