These whitewall tyres on my car are only 5 years old, but exposure to the elements is causing the white walls to bleed.
Other than shoe polish, what can I use to clean off the white or blacken the tyres again?

There are plenty of tyre shine products available that should work for a while.

Have you tried scrubbing them to see if the white bleeding comes off?

Just be careful going up to the whitewall line.

The tyre products I’ve looked at seem to do no more than shine them up. I’ve tried a couple, but they don’t remove the white staining.

Have you tried the usual thinners, white spirit, alcohol, acetone?

That’d be my suggestion too.
And while you’re finishing those off, get the butler to clean the tyres.

Absolutely lovely! Is there a thread on it? What's the interior like?

Surely a stern letter to the the manufacturer of Vitour Galaxy tyres about the quality of their white paint should get you another set?

Next time, just buy all-black tyres and fit some white wall trims wink
