Nankang NS2R, any experience?

I’ve picked up a 2nd hand set of wider Oz wheels for the 996 turbo (want to run wider front tyres), they came with a set of the above tyres fitted, just had a 15 mile blast on them and my first thoughts are bloody hell there stiff and noisy!
Tried dropping the pressures but didn’t seem to have much effect, they aren’t too old, is this a trait of the tyre?

NS2R are basically a track day tyre, so yes that would not surprise me.
