Help with brake proportioning valve
Discussion
Can anyone give me some advice on a cost-effective repair?
I have to fix a brake fluid leak (very slight but its got to be fixed before the MOT comes around and besides its taking the paint of the inner wing!). The car is a Nissan Figaro and the leak is coming from the brake proportioning valve fitted to the nearside inner wing.
The complication is that a new valve from Nissan is £361 + VAT!
Any ideas for a cheap fix welcomed (I've already put a call into A1 Jap Spares to check if a mk1 Micra valve will fit but are there any other ideas out there?)
Thanks.

I would not consider anything other than replacing it. The risk is to high.
You must replace it with the correct valve for the car as it's internals will be specifically set for your brake setup. A valve from another model/make will not do.
Have you tryed normal motor factors? They may be able to offer a pattern make.
