In order to help me with some good quarter mile times at Santapod in the summer I need to lift the rear of my car 3 to 4 inches to get some oversized wheels on the rear.

Who knows a good suspension workshop in the Southeast as I need to get the leaf springs re-worked? Bit of a custom job.

Try LEDA, they certainly used to do stuff with leaf springs.

I'll give them a bell. Some guys in the states just fit air adj shocks and pump up the rear, but I think this could easily end in death.

Can you just fit drop links to lower one end of the spring rather than making new springs?

If there is any way round it like fitting drop links then i'll do it. Its just finding some bugger willing to sort it out who knows what they are doing.

Its doesn't even go over speed bumps at the moment. I have to stick to bus routes in London. Plus some proper muncher has fitted an exhaust about 1.5 mm above the road surface for extra scraping effects.

Don't laugh but there are a number of companys who do custom springs for Series Land Rovers. Perhaps they could make you some specials.
I would think that a set of longer rear spring hangers would suffice but would also need a panhard rod.

You could certainly use longer spring hangers as steve-d suggests - was all the rage on custom cars back in the late 70s and early 80s.

Not sure you'll get 3-4 inches though, and it does tend to flatten the springs after a while. Longer dampers helps, which you should fit anyway. Best type are heavy duty gas dampers that always try to extend to their maximum length.

Don't know if your car's purely for drag racing, but another old custom trick from way back is to remount the axle so that it's under the springs rather than on top. Fair bit of work involved though in removing mounting plates from axle and rewelding them on top.

I used a place in Birmingham, but it's a bit far from you unless you like to drive. They can make you complete new springs, re-arch your old ones, make 'em stiffer, softer, whatever, and they are pretty quick. Their place is just off M6 junction 9
