Taking Apart a Damper

Hello All-

I need to replace a base valve in my damper. The company sent me the new base valve but no instructions.

I brought the damper to 2 local shops and both places wanted a basic set of instructions to follow as a GAZ damper is not common in the US.

Has anyone taken one apart before?

If so, could you post a basic set of instructions?

Why won't GAZ supply instructions?

Don't know.
They just told me to take it to a shop to get it fixed.
The shops in the states here don't see GAZ dampers and therefore are hesitant to touch them without directions.

I am suprised by this as well.

I'd go back to your contact at GAZ and tell them exactly what you've said here.
