Hi All,

Went to have a closer look at my rear brakes today, one of the pads was very warn (just looking through the wheel). Replaced the pads and realized one of the callipers was totally seized and the dust seals have come out on both callipers.

Short of buying new callipers for both sides (I'm not going to refurb them myself) does anyone know of a specialist where I can take the car have them rebuild and refit the callipers in the south / south east?

Cheers,
Ben.

Replacing the seals in a caliper is a DIY thing.
You have to take out the old seals, clean everything up, very carefully lubricate and fit all the new parts.

This all takes time.

Garage time is V expensive so they will just advise replacing the calipers with a pattern part which in the end will cost you less.

Thanks - Yep agree, but I'd heard these calipers were a pain in the arse (and don't have time anyway). I've found somewhere that will fit new callipers pretty cheap which is good. So fingers crossed it'll all work out.
