On my Astra (MK3) a knocking noise was traced to one of the anti roll bar bushes has detached itself from the lower wishbone. The question is can the bushes be changed with the bar in situ? Or will the bar have to be removed from the car which looks like a hell of a job including lifting the engine to remove the bar.

In general anti roll bars unload if you lift that end of the car fully and allow both wheels to dangle.

there's no load on a anti roll bar if its sitting on level ground or jacked up,only when it rolls ie-jack it up one sidebiggrin
