Mountney QR hub

Probably the wrong place to post this but its the nearest I could get.

Has anybody used one of these on a car? I modified the steering column on my kit car and now need a QR hub otherwise I can't get in the car as the steering wheel is now further forward. It says for competition use only so could it be used on the road ie would the car pass an mot?

Any thoughts..
