Front offside wheel locks under hard braking
Discussion
Hi,
I have just replaced nearside front brake pipe as per MOT excessive corrosion. I have bled the entire system in the order indicated by Haynes with a one man one way valve thing (couldn't get the eezibleed air tight). Since this, when hitting the pedal hard, my offside front wheel locks. However the nearside front one does not that I can tell - and I understand the rears have pressure regulating valves to prevent them locking. I believe none of the wheels locked up before. I re-bled the nearside front and the same still happens. Next course of action I can think of is to bleed the offside rear again to try improve the efficiency of the circuit to the nearside front wheel. After that it is probably the master cylinder needing renewal?
Car is a 94 Skoda Favorit Estate and does not have ABS. Other than the one wheel locking the brakes seem fine to my untrained eyes. Should probably have left the work to a garage to do.
According to Haynes.... The master cylinder is the tandem type with a diagonally split dual circuit system.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
