Split boot on wishbone balljoint - MOT failure?

Would a split rubber balljoint boot mean an MOT failure?

The joint itself seems fine. No play etc

Yes I think it certainly would...its not that the joint is now faulty, its that it can quickly get that way with dirt and water able to get in...
