Grand Cherokee Jeep rolls like a boat

Folks,
Jeep Grand Cherokee V8, 2001, 64,000 miles.
Good cars but they roll all over the place on our roads and sometimes you wonder if the steering wheel's actually connected to anything.
I fitted a set of Addco Antisway bars to stop it wallowing and they did the trick, but the ride/comfort suffered severely and I took them off.
So, without spending a fortune, is there anything I can do to stop it wallowing in corners, without altering the comfort of the ride? Or is this an impossible request.
Would new shocks help?

What suspension system is it? Live axles front and rear?
Roll angle is down to pretty basic physices - roll couple (ie distance between roll axis and centre of gravity of the sprung mass) versus roll stiffness (how much the springs resist the roll).
Stiffer dampers will reduce the rate at which it rolls, but not the ultimate roll angle in steady-state cornering, but in any case would also affect ride quality, too.
Only 2 real ways to reduce roll angle, therefore: increase the roll stiffness (which is what you've already tried, and which will certainly affect ride quality) or reduce the roll couple.
To reduce the roll couple, you've either got to reduce the CG of the sprung mass (difficult to do to any significant degree) or increase the height of the geometric roll axis. The latter is a non-starter if it has independent suspension, because it will screw up all sorts of other factors and potentially make the car's handling very dangerous, but if you've got live axles both ends, it might be possible to revise the suspension linkages to increase the roll centre heights without affecting to many other things.
...but it would take someone who knows what they're doing and would probably be a fairly major re-engineering job.
My advice would be to sell it (or burn it out and claim on the insurance, given the current market for Chelsea Tractors
) and buy a car that handles.

if it helps i did the following eibach anti-roll bars f/r ,bilstein suspension 2"/3" drop upgrade all round..before any one says why because i wanted too... huge difference corners at speed .handles like well a proper car!!! add power for real fun..http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/12.gif
