LDV sames as princess/ambassador caliper?

I've been seaching the internet to find out about getting some princess/ambassador calipers for an MGB V8 conversion. I found this on the scoobynet forum: http://bbs.scoobynet.com/archive/index.php/t-10722... which said that LDV pilot calipers are the same as a princess/ambassador caliper?

I've managed to find a P reg LDV pilot in my local scrappys and was just wondering if anyone knows where I could find out if it will be the right kind of caliper?

I'm new to this so I'm sorry if my questions are stupid!

hi just a suggestion you could check with your local motorfactors to see if the same pads are listed for both

I have a set of Princess calipers on my Cobra, and I've just bought a pair of LDV 400 Convoy calipers on ebay. So when they arrive I'll be able to tell you.
Also - I've heard that some of the Landrover Defender calipers are the same - there are several different types, so I don't know which it may be - they're very cheap though at around £60-70 brand new each.
