Cleaning the insides of my arches

Ok so before i start its only an 07 plate fiesta, but im going to clean all the insides of the alloys to get the brake dust and crap off, but at the same time it it worth giving the springs and arches a good clean? What would be the best method to do so? what should i avoid getting different fluids/ oils on components? Would wd-40 be the best thing to use?

Get your self some autoglym engine and machine cleaner, srpay on leave to soak, agitate with a brush if needs be and hose off and then you will have clean arches you can also dress them if you want by spraying some autoglym rubber care about (dont get it on the brakes though)
