Bolt missing from front disk
Discussion
Had to take a wheel off my track car (E30 325) earlier and I noticed the little bolt that goes through the disk into the hub is missing. Is that really bad? It's obviously been driven for ages like that (including a track day!) given that it can't fall out and I've never taken it out.
I guess the answer is in the question - it's been fine for ages, but I'll try and source a replacement asap.

The bolt hole in the disc is likely to allow you to push the disc off the hub, they can rust together over time... you'll find if you put a bolt in the disc will free off from the hub... they are held in place by the wheel and its bolts.
it's to hold the disc in place during assembly - it won't cause a problem - don't worryGassing Station | Suspension, Brakes & Tyres | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
