Bolt missing from front disk

Had to take a wheel off my track car (E30 325) earlier and I noticed the little bolt that goes through the disk into the hub is missing. Is that really bad? It's obviously been driven for ages like that (including a track day!) given that it can't fall out and I've never taken it out.

I guess the answer is in the question - it's been fine for ages, but I'll try and source a replacement asap.

I wouldn't worry. If the old one is missing/knackered when I'm doing the job then I don't worry.

The bolt hole in the disc is likely to allow you to push the disc off the hub, they can rust together over time... you'll find if you put a bolt in the disc will free off from the hub... they are held in place by the wheel and its bolts.

it's to hold the disc in place during assembly - it won't cause a problem - don't worry
