Hi,

I have a 2001 astra 2.0dti. I've just driven 30 motorway miles and when I got home, I noticed a knocking that sounds like it coming from my osr wheel area somewhere.

It starts when turning right (like around a roundabout) and continues for a bit once you straighten up but then does sort itself out.

It's quite a light knocking sound, similar to a CV joint going if it was at the front. It's very consistent like "da-dum da-dum da-dum) etc... but sounds tappier.

Any ideas? (Just had new discs pads & calipers at the back)

Cheers

Just had the rear end jacked up. Both brakes are binding, and every time the knock occurs the plate that holds the brake pad moves up and down slightly. Could it be loose calipers? No play in rear bearings, and nothing wrong with tyres of wheels.
