Hi, i have to replace the back axle on my 1998 D-turbo s, but cant find one anywere, the scrap man said a saxo axle is exactly the same but i dont know.. if i cant get the same as my car what will do just as good???? please help

Try 'peugeot 306 axle' on ebay. Couple of dozen on at the moment.

I'm sure the 106/Saxo rear beam is narrower, by a noticeable amount. The ZX and Xsara are the same width though.

saxo is same as 106, not 306

306 has a rear steering setup, should be able to pick one up from a scrapper though!

Only use a 306 one and make sure its the same rear brakes,discs or drums.Trouble is finding a "GOOD" one is dificult a second hand one may have dry radius arm bearings and will be as good as the one your removing.Have a look at www.sspengineering.co.uk I have used them a number of times,a fully recon axle delivered to your door £350 or if your near to there base they will fit it for the same price.

When you say you "have to replace"...why? Radius arm bearings gone? If so, just get it rebuilt. Plenty of people around who can do it. Where are you in the country and I'll PM you a list of those close who I know of.
