So got my 1996 Audi A4 sport 1.8t lowered a couple of months ago on Ventura Sport -30mm springs. I knew it wouldn't lower much as the A4 sport is already lower as standard but now the back end of the car is much higher than the front. It wasn't like this just after the springs were fitted but the rear has been gradually getting higher?confused
This is how the car looked just after fitting the new springs...

I was well chuffed but this is how it now looks...

Front arch...

Rear arch frown...

Anyone know if the rear can be adjusted to make it equal to the front or any ideas how to rectify it short of getting my angle grinder out!? To be honest the handling's great but it just doesn't look right so hopefully one of you guys can shed some light. My mechanics on holiday just now so I'm hoping one of you can give me some answers, cheers guys.

Does it level out when your accelerating hard?

Take it back to who ever did it, and contact who ever supplied the springs if your really not happy.

I'll post some pics of my standard 1.8T sport up later if you wish? Just had OE standard dampers and springs fitted.

Yeah, post up some pics mate. Always good to see another 1.8t!
Don't know if it levels out under acceleration but as i said it handles great. Just think it looks a little odd.
Can't contact supplier as i got them off private seller on Ebay but they were brand new and in the original box and were stamped -30mm on each spring.

What make are they out of interest?

I know my back end sits slightly higher than the front, but yours looks a little extreme. Have the fronts collapsed? Any knocking or bangs?

PS, couple of older pics on my profile, the rear shocks were sagging though.

Don't think the fronts have collapsed as they're the same height/gap just now as they were just after fitting. Also no nasty noises or anything.
They are Ventura Sport Springs. No, i hadn't heard of them either but after some investigation i found out they are re branded Bilstein's. Bilstein used to supply them to, i think, the German equivalent to Euro Car Parts for their 'aftermarket' division. They certainly looked good quality.

Normally springs 'settle' over time and compress naturally, When we fitted new springs to the front of a mates Vectra it looked like it was popping wheelies!

Have you had a bounce on the back? hehe Seriously though, If your not happy contact the place that fitted them, and the manufacturer. When I worked for a 'performance' parts supplier we often got mismatched suspension kits for stuff.

Try asking on an Audi forum for people with similar kits, ask them to measure wheel centre to arch lip (obviously with same size wheels as yours (16"?)
