I've replaced the std discs/pads/hoses on my 500 with uprated items.

The discs are drilled/slotted brembos, the pads are Ferodo DS2500 & the hoses are now braided.

The system has been flushed through with SRF fluid & I'm 100% sure there is no air trapped.

At higher speeds (40mph plus)the pedal has fine feel, the brakes perform as I would expect. However, at low speeds, the retardation offered by the brakes feels far worse than the originals.

Is this normal with this type of pad?

Have you bedded in the pads as per Ferodos instructions? IME they don't work at their best until you've got them properly hot at least once or twice.
