Mini Classic - How to fix dent in chrome bumper
Discussion
Hi, any suggestions on how to repair this dent ? - or am I likely to need a new bumper? The bumper is easily removed and there is good access to the rear of the dent. I can get a new one for £35 (benefit of a classic mini!) but will give this a go first. Should I heat it before tackling the dent or will that damage the chrome?

I think if you heat that up the chrome may not necessarily come off (think motorbike exhausts) but may discolour with the heat. And if it is a decent thickness metal you'll need to put some heat into it I think to reform the shape.
I've belted the hell out of MGB bumpers in the past with little or no effect on the dent - without heat, so I think you'll need some.
I think for £35 I'd replace it!
