In a rather stupid move I removed a decal and then managed to smear the adhesive residue into a big circle Whats is the best agent to remove this without killing the paintwork.
WD-40 will be OK but a dedicated tar and glue remover may be a fraction more effective. Failing that, white spirit etc would do the trick. Remove vinyls with a heat gun or hairdrier. It's a lot less messy than removing them by peeling.
