Touched in several small stone chips which has left repairs slightly proud and overlapping original paint. What's best to use to correct - I'm assuming a very fine wet and dry sandpaper followed by paint correction then a polish and wax - if that's right what grade of wet and dry to use and would somthing like Meguiars Scratch X be abrasive enough to get the sanded area back to a good finish?

Paint - Carnival red metalic clear over base

Over to you Chaps thumbup

I've tried two methods that work well. One is to gently wipe over with a cotton bud sprayed with IPA then finish with polish. The other was to use a very light cutting compound again on a cotton bud to "polish" it back down. You have to be careful not to rub on the paint around the repair as you end up going through the clear coat!!

or wet sand down small area and polish back , even better a metal de nib tool such as festools one which will shave off the top of touch ins , and if used correctly wont touch the original paint either .
