I'm looking to protect the underside of my project car, Puma. I've applied Waxoyl before, but that was in the summer on a different car. The car is up on axle standard with suspension etc all stripped off so seems the perfect opportunity.

But is it tool cold? The car is garaged, but barely above 6-8 degrees at this time of year. A heater probably wouldn't be powerful enough to get the garage much higher than that. I know the trick of sitting the Waxoyl in a bucket of hot water for 30 mins. I'll be painting it on rather than spraying.. if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance.

Bucket of Hot water (usually boiling hot as it cools so fast outside) and leave until the waxoyl is like water. I usually buy a 5L tin but pour it into a spare 1 litre tin so I can keep the 5L tin warm then refill as required.

You can thin it with white spirit too.

Putting to tin a few metres away from a space heater for 5-10 minutes does a great job. A blow lamp could be used in the same way as long as you are careful...
