Hey Guys,

just bought a 964 and love it!

My interior leather could do with a refresh and recolour. Which leather repair/recolour kits do you recommend?

Not sure whether you need filler also but I used this guy in Germany to get an exact match. Good service via EBAY

Furniture Clinic for filler and Dynamix or LTT for the dyes.

I did a little repair job on my recently bought BMW Z3. The kit was only £15, but I also bought their cleaner and conditioner which added about another £20 to the order IIRC. You put in you car details and they supply you with a matched colour, complete with two tiny pots that can alter the shade if required and another that alters the gloss. I used it nearly neat on the cracks, then went over the whole area another day with a diluted mix using a sponge. As my OH's Mini also has black leather I did a 'colourwash' on the driver's seat and it looked much better afterwards, despite it not being mixed for her car.

Kit came from Gliptone, scuffmaster kit:

I've used these a bit.
If the leather is black, then I'd go with a Gliptone colour wash kit.

If it's any other colour or a larger area, then I'd spend some extra cash and get a colour matched kit from somewhere like furniturclinic.

I used the gliptone on some old M3's I had and they cam eout great. Tried to match the tan on the 355 and it was a disaster. Ordered a colour matched kit from furniture clinic (comes with everything including airbrush) and results were spot on.

For dye quality both of the firms that I mentioned are greatly superior to Gliptone or Furniture Clinic.

What a wierd coincidence if it actually was your car - can't be many in that same colour combo, can there?

No.. my carpets are cream and mine had Cup wheels before they were replaced with speedlines.. do like the design 90s though.!!

Going mad trying to get hold of a rear reflector. Seems the US is the only place to get them right now..

Did the leather in my old Passat about 6 years ago with furniture clinic dye+sealant and it still looks good, drivers seat could do with a refresh but I've done nearly 100000 miles on it so I think it's done well smile
