Am I damaging my paint work? Swiss vax.
Discussion
Hi, bit worried that I'm damaging my paintwork: I'm using Swissvax cleaner fluid regular and Scuderia wax on my 348.
As per the handbook, after hand washing I'm applying the cleaner fluid with a white pad, and buffing it off with a microfiber cloth.
Whats worrying is that at the end the microfiber cloth is red
!
It must picking up lacquer, or even worse, paint!
Can anyone tell if this is to be expected, or what I'm doing wrong? Could I be buffing with too much force? My objective it just to get it clean rather than polish though the lacquer…!

You have single stage red paint (they went over to clear coat on the 355(?)) so not a problem.
However, once you have used the cleaner, you should only need to use the wax from then on.
If your not far from swissvax hq pop in and get them to check your paint (measurements etc) and get them to do a nice demo with the products you have.
Nice car.
