Hi all.
I have been offered a used car at a dirt cheap price and being the enterprising sort I reckon I could spin a profit on it.
Its a little 106 1.1, a quick browse on autotrader shows even very leggy expamples fetch better money than their ford or vaux equivalents especially appealing to the first time driver/learner car for the kids types.
However its red (can you see where this is going) and as such isnt quite as red as when it left the factory.
my question is this, how far can I restore paintwork on a budget.
The cars only a couple of hundred quid and as the only other high miler pug within 50 miles is asking £995, is also red and slightly faded, and has less tax and ticket I could see a nice little return.
I am a mechanic so will be looking to give it a cambelt change anyway before selling it but dont want to spend much money (say £200 prepping it for sale all in).
Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you.
