Touching up rubber-feel trim

There's a tiny chip on the corner of one of the backlit rubber-feel buttons of my cars climate control. Can't really notice it in the day, but you can at night because it's backlit. Is there a better alternative than a quick dab with a perm marker? These always looks slightly purple and glossy, and my buttons are a matt black rubber, so almost a very dark grey.
