Mot rust

I take it this will be a mot failer,it's a mates fiesta and just wondering if a bit of filler and a can of spray paint would tidy it up enough to pass??

How far round the inside does that go? On the face of that photo I wouldn't fail it.

I've just peeled off most off it but only as far as the thickness of the lip

Try poking it and the inner arch with your finger and see how far it goes back.

Inner arch is solid it's just the lip really

If it's not within a prescribed radius of suspension mounting points, it'll be fine. Although being an old Fiesta, I'm guessing the corrosion is more extensive than you think!

That's well within a prescribed area, don't forget seatbelts and seats.
