My car (1994 Jaguar XJS) has beige/tan coloured seatbelts and are quite grimy (no oil or grease though). Does anyone have any recommendations on technique and product for cleaning them up, preferably not taking then out of the car? I understand some products may not be suitable in case they degrade the webbing strength.

Thanks in advance.

Always used a general upholstery cleaner on E-Class belts. Wash/light scrub (sponge & soft nail brush), rinse & rinse again. Leave extended to fully dry. I think rinsing properly is the secret.
