Sorry if this has been asked a million times before.

I don't understand which method is better when polishing / waxing.

Everybody says you should stick to straight lines, north to south, east to west etc.

But surely all the da machines etc work on circles and all the professional videos online seem to use circular motions?

Just stocked up again on lots of nice new products and want to get the cars done before winter strikes.

My personal preference for most products is small circles followed but straight lines to finish.

Autoglym recommend this with their Super Resin Polish. I use that technique but I am not sure why they suggest it.

I tend to use abrasive products in circles and other products in straight lines.

In my opinion it doesnt matter as long as you work the polish.

Remember hand v machine is totally different and use different products.
