Now then, feel free to take the piss because what I'm about to ask sounds a bit mental to me too!
Anyway I've got a 7.5t lorry with a 20' box on it which quite frankly is a bit of a state. Now is it possible to get reasonable results by hand painting it (I seem to remember someone telling me there is a special paint available for this kind of job, but I could be making that up) or will it end up looking a bit pykie? I'm not too sure how to describe what its constructed from-its a bit like chipboard with what I guess is a weatherproof coating on it.
Or should I just forget it, give it a clean as best I can and make it a 'polished turd', rather than just a 'turd'
Thanks y'all

There are several paints available for this. My late father used to use Tekaloid & got a fantastic finish on those he did. The big issues are weather & also getting paint on fast enough. I'd probably try with a decent roller & then tip off with a brish.

Rustoleum and a small high quality roller. Obviously, the prep work dictates the quality of the finish. My T25 has been hand roller painted and looks good from a few steps away.

There is a guide to it on the T25 owners site. (club80-90.co.uk) its a very long sticky topic under bodywork section. Well worth a read if you want to get good results.....

+1 on the Tekaloid - I did my Riley in that & no-one beleived it wasn`t sprayed.
