I have a set of Bosch parking sensors which are new, but have been painted silver. Is there any straightforward way to remove the silver paint and return the finish to the original matt black?

TIA!

They should be all scuffed up underneath to allow the paint to adhere.

This means they will be scratched when you remove the paint.

If you want them matt black again the best bet is to scuff them, up and get an aerosol of matt black.

I used some sandpaper to sand off the paint and then sprayed them with matt black.

Sounds like some wet&dry is in order. I was just hoping there would be an easy solution!

Depends on what type of paint was used. Sometimes they only have 1k aerosol on them, in which case thinners should remove it, i've used this method before but its a little messy. Alternative is to use grey scotchbrite and paint over the top, but be wary applying too much paint film to the sensor as too much can prevent them from working correctly.
