All.

I was wondering if anyone had tried using snow foam in conjunction with a lance on a pressure washer?

I wondered about getting some but didn't know if it's any good. Also, do you spray the car with the foam and then use a mitt and hot water to agitate it? Or, do you spray the car with foam, then after 10mins or so rinse it off and proceed to wash the car as normal using a mitt and car shampoo?

Any thoughts appreciated.

I've been using snow foam recently. It's a prewash so I spray it on Using the foam attachment on my pressure wash, making sure the car is fully covered and then leave it for a few minutes. Then rinse it off and wash the car. The snow foam helps to soften the dirt and makes cleaning it easier. It does seem to work pretty well.

Thanks, I have a pressure washer so would just need to buy the attachment and the foam itself.

The latter. Small amount of shampoo with the foam, spray, leave it, rinse off and then wash as normal (2 buckets etc).

When you have a waxed car you'll see dirt run off with the snow foam.

Make sure you get PH Neutral snowfoam and shampoo or it will affect your wax.

Buy a quality snow foam lance, I got one similar to the one below... fits most PW

What I do is first foam and let it rest, then Pressure Washer off.

I then go back and wash with 2 buckets and mitt

The snow foam knocks off the larger bits of dirt and loosens the rest, before I hand wash

Best part of washing the car is the snow foam, especially the neighbours reactions!

one interesting observation

i have an external 'hot water' tap and my pressure washer takes water up to 60 degrees C

done tests with both hot and cold water and snow foam - best results by far with cold water but hot 'rinse'

snow foam manufacturer (not supplier) confirmed this

I've used it.

Use as a pre-wash. Cover the car and leave for a few minutes, then jet the car off.

This should remove quite a bit of crap prior to washing meaning you're not rubbing dirt and grit into your paintwork.

There are citrus based products which are safe on paintwork, but a little stronger, again as has been mentioned to enable further removal of grime for a safer wash.
