Cleaning an engine and surrounding area
Discussion
Hi all,
I've been googling and have had mixed results so was hoping for some advice.
Now that weather is getting a little warmer, I'm wanting to give my old Beetle a good wash and need to spend some time doing the engine and surrounding paintwork. I've never cleaned an engine before so am a little nervous about damaging the paintwork. Does anyone have any suggestions of fairly decent product(s) that could be used on both the engine and surrounding paintwork? I'm worried about damaging the paintwork as some of the cleaners look very strong.
Many thanks,
Hoink

Suffex HD, manufactured by Bilt Hamber. It can be diluted and has a wide variety of uses and wont harm your paintwork so long as you dont leave it on there. An amazing cleaner and not as brutal as many. Just remember to cover all electrical points, and then run the engine afterwards to dry out before dressing the surrounding areas.
