Been using this for my meggy, its been alright so far but hasn't really wowed me, it doesn't seem to have a deep shine to it as I would like, I've scoured the net and halfrauds but can't find anything that's caught my eye. Any of you guys recommend anything better than the box?

If its for a black car then definetly Angel Wax Dark Angel, it's awesome on black paint.

It's cheap as chips and if you were to email John the owner nicely you probably get some free samples thrown in.

Cannot recommend a wax, but autoglym super resin polish always looked great on my black alfa 156. Available from halfords......

Bought that when I first got the car but it looked awful I ended up going to the arc to get a full works wash and wax which looked better

Poorboys Black Hole as a glaze, then top off with Chemical Guys 50/50 for a seriously wet look.

How did you apply it?

The finish you get is dependant on the prep put into it. You could buy a £10k pot of wax, but if you apply to un/prepped or poorly prepped paintwork it's not really going to do much. 95% of the finish you see is in the prep.

washed it down first then applied it one section at a time but looked awful when i tried to do it so i just went and jetwashed it. black box is much better, always take it to the arc first and then apply

Did you polish it on with one cloth (only need a small amount) then buff it off with a clean one? only asking as I've never had a bad result with it.

Any news on the Dark Angel? I have recently a black car and want to keep it looking decent. That said, I'm a Sunday morning, every two weeks washer, not a high end detailer! I need something that goes on ok and lasts for at least two - three months.

Yes poor boys black hole which is a show glaze its only cheap then I would finish the car off with poorboys nattys blue.
I can really recommend their products and they are reasonably priced.
Check the reviews online also the money is spent on the product there is no fancy packaging involved.

I only know about the stuff as I went to a car show and saw two smart roadster owners with identical cars one had been cleaned with poorboys products and the car looked a different colour it had so more depth and shine.

Black hole and nattys blue are designed for dark cars but they do make products for lighter colour cars which are equally as good.

Also the products have been designed for easy and quick application and an added bonus is they smell of grapes or bubblegum lol
